Enhance Comfort and Energy Efficiency with TANIC Inc.'s Thermal Unit Solutions

Thermal unit, also known as Insulated Glass Units (IGUs) or double glazed. Seal units are 2 or 3 panes of glass separated by one or two spacers. They are filled with air or other gas’ to reduce heat transfer. A spacer is the piece that separates the two panes of glass in an insulating glass system, and seals the gas space between them.

To reduce heat transfer through the spacer and increase overall thermal performance, the spacer may be constructed of a less-conductive material such as structural foam.

Typically, spacers are filled with or contain desiccant to remove moisture trapped in the gas space during manufacturing.

TANIC Inc. supplies and installs thermal units with glass that range of thickness, from 3 mm to 6 mm or more in special applications. Laminated or tempered glass may also be used as part of the construction..
